1. Acceptance of Terms
By purchasing tickets, booking an event, entering the premises, or using any services provided by Love at First Mic (“Company”), you agree to be legally bound by these Terms & Conditions. Under Louisiana law, these Terms constitute a binding contract upon acceptance and payment. If you do not agree, you may not use our services.
2. Description of Services
Love at First Mic provides:
• Premium karaoke experiences
• Custom song creation and instrumental production
• Private event rentals
• Luxury event hall use
• Professional sound equipment access
All services are subject to availability and may be modified without notice.
3. Booking & Payment Policy
• Full payment or a non-refundable deposit is required at booking.
• Remaining balances must be paid by the agreed date.
• Failure to pay may result in cancellation without refund.
• All prices are subject to applicable Louisiana and City of New Orleans taxes.
• Chargebacks initiated without prior written notice constitute breach of contract.
• Custom music production begins upon payment and is non-refundable once production has commenced.
3.1 Acceptance by Booking, Payment & Entry
By booking, submitting payment, signing an event agreement, or entering the premises, the Client and all guests acknowledge acceptance of these Terms & Conditions in full.
4. Cancellation & Rescheduling
• All ticket purchases are non-refundable.
• Event bookings may be rescheduled with at least 24 hours written notice.
• Rescheduling is subject to availability and may include a transfer fee.
• No-shows forfeit all payments.
• Refunds are not issued for weather, personal conflicts, travel delays, or circumstances beyond Company control.
5. Force Majeure (Unforeseen Events)
Love at First Mic shall not be liable for failure to perform due to events beyond reasonable control, including hurricanes, flooding, government shutdowns, public health emergencies, utility failures, civil unrest, and acts of God.
5.1 Hurricane & Severe Weather Policy
Events affected by mandatory evacuation orders, government closures, or unsafe operating conditions may be rescheduled once, subject to availability. Refunds will not be issued.
6. Assumption of Risk & Premises Liability
Guests voluntarily assume ordinary risks associated with attendance and use of the venue.
7. Alcohol Policy
All alcohol service must comply with Louisiana ATC regulations. Guests must be 21+ with valid identification.
8. Code of Conduct
Prohibited behaviors include fighting, harassment, illegal substances, property damage, disorderly conduct, exceeding occupancy limits, and violating city noise ordinances.
8.1 Noise Ordinance Compliance
Sound levels may be adjusted to comply with City of New Orleans regulations. No refunds will be issued due to enforcement actions.
9. Occupancy & Fire Code Compliance
Maximum occupancy is determined by Orleans Parish Fire Marshal regulations. Exceeding limits may result in termination without refund.
9.1 Security Requirements
The Company may require licensed security personnel based on event risk factors. Associated costs are the Client’s responsibility.
10. Property Damage
The booking party is financially responsible for damage to equipment, furniture, fixtures, décor, flooring, and bathrooms.
11. Cleaning, Overtime & Late Departure Fees
Additional fees may apply for excessive cleaning, damage, glitter, confetti, prohibited décor, or overtime.
12. Independent Contractors
Outside vendors and contractors are not employees or agents of Love at First Mic unless stated otherwise in writing.
13. Limitation of Liability
Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific booking.
14. Indemnification & Hold Harmless
The booking party agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Love at First Mic from claims arising from guest misconduct, property damage, violations, or negligence.
15. Intellectual Property
All branding, logos, music tracks, custom instrumentals, recordings, studio designs, and marketing materials remain the exclusive property of Love at First Mic.
16. Recording & Media Release
Guests grant permission for photographs and recordings to be used for marketing, social media, websites, and advertising unless a written opt-out request is submitted before the event.
17. Privacy Policy
Personal information is collected for booking, payment processing, communication, and optional marketing purposes and is not sold.
18. Right to Refuse or Terminate Service
Love at First Mic reserves the right to refuse service, terminate events, or remove guests for policy violations or unsafe behavior.
19. No Guarantees
Services are provided “as is.” No guarantee is made regarding artistic satisfaction or specific sound quality perception.
20. Dispute Resolution & Arbitration
Disputes shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation and then binding arbitration in Orleans Parish, Louisiana.
21. Governing Law & Venue
These Terms are governed by Louisiana law with venue in Orleans Parish, Louisiana.
22. Breach of Contract
Violations may result in termination of services, forfeiture of payments, legal action, and recovery of damages.
23. Amendments
Love at First Mic reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time.
24. Severability
If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain valid.
25. Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the full agreement between the parties regarding services provided.
